The assignment was made difficult by the fact that half of our group had traveled to Norway before and half had not. We are all in our 60’s/70’s; active, but not looking for adventurous physical activity. Anne/AdvenTURes arranged an absolutely brilliant week-long trip. Every day there was something unique and interesting and also the opportunity of seeing absolutely stunning parts of Norway, as well as the chance to interact with interesting and friendly people. From the moment we connected with Anne, the owner, we felt her passion for providing an unforgettable journey. Anne’s thoughtful attention to detail set this trip apart. She took the time to understand the experiences we were looking for and organized an itinerary that exceeded our expectations. Each day was carefully built to include a wide variety of activities, from hiking and biking through breathtaking landscapes, canyoneering through a magnificent river gorge and kayaking in beautiful remote fjords free from tourist crowds. We were delighted to discover the authentic beauty of Norway away from the typical tourist paths.

The accommodations were varied and unique and ranged from beautiful old historic hotels with exceptional cuisine to rustic remote mountain cabins where we prepared our own meals. These added a special touch to our journey, enhancing our overall experience. All our guides were friendly and knowledgeable and made every moment enjoyable and informative. Thanks to Anne’s meticulous planning and insightful recommendations, we left Norway with memories that we will cherish forever.

The service Anne provided during our trip was superb. We did have two minor issues (one with a restaurant and one with a guiding company) but Anne quickly intervened to get these issues fully addressed to my complete satisfaction.

They worked diligently to meet the needs of our group and make adjustments until we settled on an itinerary that met the needs of our group. Once we arrived in Norway, we met our main guides, Antwon & Ian! Those guys were professional, skilled, and a lot of fun to be around! They worked endlessly as we had some unforeseen flight issues, out of our control, that caused last minute schedule changes and rearranging of transportation, which was all handled seamlessly.

Every hotel/cabin we stayed in was stunning and had impeccable customer service. All of the restaurant reservations were also amazing in quality, service, & history!

Whether we were hiking, kayaking, or climbing, Norway Adventures provided additional guides to create options and meet the needs/physical levels of capability; while also providing comfort & safety so everyone could experience the beautiful views of Norway.

All of them came back with quite similar itineraries and all had nothing to do with what we were interested in. I was about to give up on a trip to Norway and then I found Norway Adventures. I spoke with Anne and the very first itinerary she sent to me was perfect. She truly listened to us and personalized the itinerary to our interests.
The trip was absolutely amazing!! Anne’s organizational skills are fabulous and everything went perfectly smoothly. We feel so fortunate to have found Anne and Norway Adventures. We were able to experience authentic Norway off the beaten path and see and do the things the locals love. Our accommodations were so beautifully unique and special, and our guides were fun, friendly and entertaining. We hiked and kayaked without crowds and could sit on a mountain top and enjoy the serenity. The entire trip was just perfect….somehow Anne even managed to order the most spectacular weather! Norway is a gorgeous country with so much to offer. The people are some of the friendliest in the world and always have a smile….no wonder!

I worked with Anne of Norway adventures to plan a custom 12 day trip for our extended family of 5, including a toddler and grandparents (and picky New York parents). Anne was incredibly communicative as we planned the trip, and she deeply understood the needs of our family and even accounting for our son’s nap each day. Anne was available throughout the trip to answer our questions and we felt extremely taken care of. We did a fantastic self-drive 12 day trip with friends in August. We normally prefer to book things ourselves, and we came across this company while researching kayaking trips. What really sold us on using them was talking with Anne about their philosophy of helping you get off the beaten path. We really felt this trip delivered on that. We saw so much beautiful scenery, stayed in amazing places, ate great food, and almost never felt we were in the middle of crowds, except for an hour ferrying along the Geirangerfjord 🙂

One of the many highlights was doing a two day overnight kayaking trip to stay at a farm only accessible by boat. Despite it raining on us on the way out, we were very happy because of the excellent equipment and guide.

Everything was arranged perfectly, and the trip information packets were extremely detailed and well organized to let us plan our days based on what we felt like at the time. Hiking recommendations were also great, and very thoughtfully chosen with different options based on time, conditions etc. Guides were uniformly wonderful and full of personality and stories.

We asked for characterful local hotels, and loved the ones that were chosen for us. Really warm and personal hospitality, and top quality breakfasts and dinners.

Overall we can’t recommend Norway Adventures enough to anyone who wants to benefit from really outstanding local knowledge, custom tailored to what interests you most.

We expected gorgeous scenery, but we also experienced the real Norway not the crowded high season tourist stops. My husband had been interested in the Norway in a Nutshell tours pushed by other companies, but he was happy we listened to Anne and avoided these tours. Norway Adventures is a travel company that listens to your travel wishes. More than customized, this trip was personalized including the sweet highlight visiting Anne on her sheep farm at the edge of a fjord. Even though we are seasoned travelers, we couldn’t have managed this trip with Anne and Norway AdvenTURes.

Of course it rained sometimes but we also had bright sparkling days. Thank you, Anne, for all you did.

As first time travelers to this country, we had a limited time to see some highlights. Her company came highly recommended by some dear friends who had also used her company to design their trip. We met over a zoom call to go over what we wanted to see and she designed a fantastic trip for us. We never imagined how much we would have missed if we had “done it ourselves”. Guides were so very knowledgeable, we thoroughly enjoyed the 3 that we had and highly recommend them! Our train schedules, hotel accommodations, fjord cruise, restaurants were expertly outlined in an itinerary with recommendations on things to do along the way. I cannot more highly recommend this tour company if you are planning a trip to Norway. My only wish is that we had Anne to plan our future trips to other countries!! Go with Norway Adventures, you won’t be disappointed!!

She took the time to get to know us and our preferences. We wanted an adventure that combined urban and rural, fjords and ocean, traditional tourist locations and more remote spots, hiking and scenery, history and culture, transport by train, boat and car, and both historic and modern accommodations. The result was an experience of a lifetime for us, and a real adventure that exceeded all our expectations!

We wanted a trip that was a combination of traditional tourist destinations and some more out of the way local places. They got it spot on. Everything was planned from drivers, tour guides, boat rides, hotels, etc. We learned a lot about Norway culture, saw some beautiful scenery (it helped that the weather was good) and stayed in some wonderful places. They were always available if we needed assistance, which we rarely did. A bonus was we got to spend a day with Anne and see the farm and area where she lives. I would recommend Norway Adventures for anyone wanting to see the real Norway!

We rented a car and her detailed itinerary including driving suggestions were perfect and made experiencing Norway easy and fun.

We had 2 days kayaking and camping and a long hike/orienteering over a mountain to finish. We then went on to Sandane for 24 based there with e mountain biking and humbug,
The whole trip was organised by Norway AdvenTUREes and it went seamlessly – one to remember. I would whole heartedly recommend them and will return in the future.

Every detail had been planned, beginning with car rental at the airport; detailed driving directions via Google maps for the best route to take at every stage; wonderful lodging and meals; vouchers for ferries; air tickets within Norway, everything we could need. We were a family group with two very fit young adults, and two less fit seniors, all of whom wanted to hike. Anne provided a range of hikes and suggested activities for every location–choices for everyone. The attention to our interests and needs coupled with the expertise, knowledge, and attention to every detail by Anne resulted in a vacation that each of us felt was our best ever–and all of us have done a fair amount of international travel. We were so happy with every place we went–we would leave each location reluctantly, as each was fabulous, but at the end of the next day we would be utterly thrilled with what we had seen and done in that day’s adventures. It was a joy to be off the beaten path and out of the throngs of tourists. Every aspect of the trip that was part of our trip with Norway Adventures went completely smoothly. The same cannot be said of flights getting to our starting point. Although none of this came during our time with Norway Adventures, Anne was at our side throughout these stressful events, which resulted in her making adjustments to the trip as planned by Norway Adventures. When an arrival flight was delayed and the connecting flight missed, she sent screenshots of what flights to try to rebook using a different itinerary that was still (possibly) available; called us and worked out plan A, B, C, or D, depending on the upshot with the airlines; monitored flight status until 11pm and connected back with us at 7am. It was as if we had a guardian angel by our side! I cannot praise Norway Adventures highly enough or thank Anne adequately for such an outstanding experience.

We worked very close with Anne at Norway Adventures to set up an amazing itinerary that included the sea kayaking adventure on Geiranger Fjord. Anne took the time in the planning phase to understand the type of experiences we were hoping to have on our vacation via several Skype calls. She absolutely delivered! Sea kayaking was one adventures. Our whole family was blown away by the experience—kayaking 5 hours out to a narrow beach, hiking up ~1000 ft to an old farm with an incredible view of the fjord, camping on the bluff under the stars, and visiting a local family farm on our return trip.
