Day to Day

Itinerary

Atlantic Road James Bond Photo by Kjetil Rolseth

Day 1:

Fly into Kristiansund and enjoy the sight of the Atlantic Ocean, the coast, and small islands and skerries from the plane. Head towards the Atlantic Road, voted the Norwegian construction of the century. Stay for two nights at a historic trading post on an island that is a former fishing community. The island is called ‘shark island’. Experience true Norwegian hospitality and delicious seafood. The surroundings will spoil you with a fresh ocean breeze, serenity and endless ocean views.

Day 2:

You will have the opportunity to take your time to explore the Atlantic Road with its famous bridges and curves. Being one of the renowned Norwegian Scenic Routes there are several designated stops where you can do short walks, study pieces of art and architecture or just take in the overwhelming coastal scenery. Of course, you want to take a picture of the Storseisundbru bridge, the most spectacular No Time To Die filming location. Whether the ocean is flat and calm or a storm is brewing, great nature experiences along the Atlantic Road are guaranteed.

In the afternoon, you will join a boat tour to a seal colony. We have a special treat for you. You can go snorkeling with the seals. In this area, there are many other activities possible like visiting a marble cave, doing a fishing trip, going cycling, a heli tour and so on. It depends on your interests, the season and your budget. Let us know what you prefer and we are happy to tailor this for you.

Luxury lodge by the fjord

Day 3:

Take in the last sight of the coast and enjoy your road trip into the fjords.

Our favorite local guide will take you on a 3-hour private guided walk in the area, sharing the local legends and myths with you.

Your destination for tonight is a unique luxury lodge in the woods, overlooking the fjord. The atmosphere of the lodge with its timber walls, Norwegian furniture and art, and a cosy fire in the fireplace is the perfect spot to snuggle up on the sofa and enjoy a good glass of wine. The hosts will spoil you with great service, gourmet meals and interesting stories. Relax in the sauna or outside jacuzzi of the small wellness department. At this hotel time slows down and it is the perfect spot for a romantic getaway or wellness break.

Ålesund Art Nouveau city

Day 4:

On your last morning, you will finish your escape in the cosy little town of Ålesund with its beautiful art nouveau architecture situated on the edge of the North sea. Enjoy a stroll through the city or along the harbour, before heading to the airport.

If you prefer to prolong your stay in Norway with an extra night in an extraordinary hotel in the city of Ålesund, or some extra days to discover the most beautiful fjords of Norway, we are happy to arrange this for you.
