Wild, wet and wonderful!
“I can’t recommend this trip enough! The breathtaking sceneries and the atmosphere were well worth the effort of paddling for nearly 100 km in 6 days. Camping next to an abandoned farm overlooking the fjord (be prepared for some pretty tough hikes..), filling water bottles from amazing waterfalls while sitting on the kayak and eating freshly caught fish was only few of the great moments we enjoyed during the trip. The guides were patient and knowledgeable, the food was abundant and the organisation overall was perfect. Yes, we got dirty and wet, paddling against strong headwinds was no joke but if you’re after some adventure in one of the most beautiful places in Europe you should definitely try this!“
Fantastic Vacation
“Anne organized 2 weeks of the most amazing vacation for us. Off the beaten track she found a great balance between showing us the sights of Norway, organizing activities and leaving enough time to relax. We stayed in some amazing huts – one practically above the Atlantic with the sea hitting the foundation of the hut, one at the bottom of the glacier surrounded by waterfalls, one at a farm etc. – and she also organized activities such as sea kayaking, zodiac adventures, recommended the via ferrata and the Aurland hike. Our kids (11 and 13) loved all of it.“
An unforgettable experience!
“We happened upon the tour and found it wonderful! Our guide, Nathan, went kayaking with us through the fjord and told us a lot of interesting facts. It was a great atmosphere and the waffles at Urke Kaihus were delicious! The beauty of this place is simply breathtaking and not overrun by tourists. A visit is definitely worth it and a tour with Norway Adventures as well!”
Wonderful outdoor adventure trip in Norway!
“Anne did a superb job of designing the trip for our family with two teenage girls, tailoring it perfectly to our requests. We stayed at wonderful hotels and a great house, and enjoyed great hiking and kayaking outings. The detailed itinerary included many great recommendations, and was extremely useful. We especially enjoyed visiting the sheep farm and being able to talk to Anne and her daughter Lotte. When we had a last minute change of plans, Anne was extremely accommodating and helpful, and also responded quickly to any pre-trip questions. We can’t recommend Norway Adventures highly enough!“

“My wife and I visited Geiranger Fjord in August 2014 on a car ferry. Though we saw the incredible beauty of the fjord, the crowds on the ferry deck muted our experience. We worked very close with Anne at Norway Adventures to set up an amazing itinerary that included the sea kayaking adventure on Geiranger Fjord. Anne took the time in the planning phase to understand the type of experiences we were hoping to have on our vacation via several Skype calls. She absolutely delivered! Sea kayaking was one adventures. Our whole family was blown away by the experience—kayaking 5 hours out to a narrow beach, hiking up ~1000 ft to an old farm with an incredible view of the fjord, camping on the bluff under the stars, and visiting a local family farm on our return trip.“
Two Weeks of Personalized Adventure
“My husband and I returned from a truly glorious two-week adventure throughout Norway. Initially, I thought I would put all the details together on my own but realized I needed someone who knows Norway, beyond the internet and books. Anne at Norway Adventures is that “someone”. Anne customized our hiking-focused trip to encompass many areas in Norway, from Senja above the Arctic Circle (where we hiked in the Midnight Sun), to the Atlantic coast, to the western fjords and central national parks, we feel like we’ve experienced this breathtaking country in a really satisfying way.
The detailed itinerary prepared by Anne, which respected our ability to make our choices based on solid information was amazing. She offered written descriptions and references for hikes and her recommendations for what to do and what to avoid. These were consistently spot-on. We would never have found some of the hikes Anne suggested. The travel days were glorious, as well, and timing factors were organized by Anne, who, in some cases, had already purchased ferry tickets so we had no hassles. Our full-day kayak trip, guided by Anne’s husband and co-owner, Roger, was out of this world. We had a thrilling day and learned a lot about the people of Norway.
Our hotels were, as requested, unique and set in remote and lovely locations. Most were historic and they were perfect for a great end and beginning to each day.
Overall, we feel Anne listened to our interests and hopes for our trip and created an itinerary we will always be grateful for having experienced. We loved it so much!“
Breathtaking place and a holiday without compare
“We wanted to kayak, explore and get off the beaten track but early in our holiday planning we realised Norway was a challenging place to navigate. Lots of research into tour companies who could help brought us to Norway Adventures who delivered end to end excellence. We didn’t find any other tour operator who came close in terms of responsiveness, flexibility and most importantly listening to what we wanted and building our trip to our unique requirements. Two families spent four days kayaking and wild camping with children from 16-25 ALL were totally blown away by our adventure.
Anne – the co-founder – worked with us to plan a bespoke trip to suit to our needs; she gave us clear advice in terms of what could be achieved, and connected us to others in the local area. Her recommended location “the hidden fjords” allowed us to experience Norway at its very best. Roger, Annes husband acted as our guide, taught us how to cook on open fires, helped us find tiny camping spots on the steep sided fjords, and cooked us some amazing food including freshly caught fish from the fjord. Roger was also totally flexible and adapted the trip to suit our requests – such as spending one night in a mountain hut so that we could take in the splendour of the fjords from above. As a destination for an adventure Norway is without compare and as a tour company Norway Adventures has to be the very best. Thank you Anne and Roger“

Unforgettable trip
“Norway Adventures put together a trip that has our entire family still smiling! Anne took careful notes about the activities we love and the areas we were interested in and put together a trip that included everything, all while staying in so many beautiful locations. We spent 8 days hiking, biking, kayaking, and climbing our way through the fjords, mountains, and rivers between Alesund and Oslo. Each of our guides was fun and interesting and the activities were challenging and filled with gorgeous views. We had plenty of time to eat well and rest up in preparation for the next day. The self-directed and detailed itinerary kept us on schedule and included plenty of notes and excursions. We really enjoyed kayaking the dramatic fjord near Urke, hiking the gorgeous cliffs near Valldal, and challenging ourselves on the Via Ferrata climb. The places we stayed ranged from a private house with dramatic views of the nearby cliffs, to a modern hotel on the fjord, to rustic hotel and cabin in the mountains. We loved all the care that went into keeping us active, but well rested and fed, all in incredibly beautiful and varied locations. Thanks Anne. Thanks Norway Adventures.”
Best of Norway
“In August I went on the Hiking the Fjords in 7 days trip. It was incredible! The small group size was perfect. The accommodations were lovely, in picturesque small towns. If you want to see the beauty of Norway, but get away from the rest of the tourists (and big cities), this is the trip for you. The hikes are steep, but worth every step. You may not have heard of the mountains, but believe me, they are beautiful and you won’t regret skipping the crowded peaks that most visitors to Norway do. The company is easy to work with and accommodating. I missed my bus, and they got everything taken care of for me. Jon was the guide on my trip. He went out of his way to accommodate everyone’s wishes and customized our free time so that each person could do as much or as little as he or she wanted. Definitely the trip of a lifetime, and one I will never forget.”

Beautiful country, wonderful landscapes
“Our first real adventure as a family of 5 – it was wonderful! We enjoyed the diversity of what we did (fjords, mountains, farm…), the well planned and easy to follow itinerary, the ideas of things to do with the children. We felt this trip was tailored to us, with many special things that were wonderful but didnt feature in our guidebook! Our travel agents were always available for questions, and even invited us to visit them on their farm. We are looking forward to our next trip!”

Loved our trip to Norway
“We spent the least amount of time in Oslo, per Anne’s recommendation, and that was a good move. It’s like many other large European cities. We were glad to have more time for the Western Fjord region of Norway. The kids enjoyed the Viking Village and the Viking Museum the best. But there wasn’t anything they didn’t like on this trip. The itinerary Anne designed for us had a good mix of things to keep the kids interested. The kids also loved the breakfast buffet at all the hotels! My husband and I enjoyed the scenery, all of the different modes of transportation which allowed us to focus on the sights as opposed to having to drive.”
